It has been more than 30 years since I started my first job as an attorney in the bankruptcy and commercial law department at one of Maryland's largest law firms. After a few years representing mostly banks and financial institutions, I decided to pursue an independent path. Although I had no clients at the time, I hung out a shingle and started my own firm. I have never regretted this decision, which has led to a fulfilling practice providing legal assistance to individuals, families, and businesses - local, regional, and national.
PRACTICE AREAS
Over the years the focus of my law practice has evolved and now includes the following areas:
-
Medical malpractice, hospital and nursing home negligence. In these cases, I help individuals and families obtain fair compensation for serious injuries caused by the negligence of health care providers, including hospitals; skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes; physicians; nurses; podiatrists; and chiropractors. -
Commercial litigation and creditors rights. Click here for more information about this topic.
-
Bankruptcy and reorganization. This includes representation of debtors, creditors, and trustees in bankruptcy cases. My experience includes more than 10 years of service on the panel of approved bankruptcy trustees in Maryland. Click here for more information about this topic.
-
Insurance coverage disputes. These cases involve the wrongful denial or termination of disability, accidental death, and health benefits.
